About FFM
Our History & Mission
Food Fellowship Ministry is called to feed the hungry in our community as we bring life to the words of Jesus found in the Scriptures (Matthew 25:35-40).
The ministry was started by local family and friends. In 2020 they expanded and began as a unit of Matthew 25 Outreach Center to bring food to the homes of food-needy people in Wayne County. The first delivery was made in February 2020 to 85 families.
In 2023 we decided to become independent but continue our service of providing food monthly for those in need in Wayne County. We currently serve about 1,000 families with over 2,400 people.
Initially, we joined Interlink Ministries to provide immediate tax-deductible financial services and while we seek our own tax-deductible status.
We connected with the Harvest Call Distribution Center to provide donated food, which we pick up on the Friday prior to distribution on Saturday. We also continue to look for additional donations or discounted food we can purchase.
